Dr. Matthias Geisler

Specialist in orthopedics and orthopedic surgery at Rudolfinerhaus, General practitioner

As a specialist in orthopedics and orthopedic surgery, I focus on treating acute and chronic pain of the musculoskeletal system. In my practice at the Rudolfinerhaus Private Clinic, I specialize in a variety of conservative therapies for the treatment of knee, hip, ankle, and shoulder pain, as well as painful tension and blockages in the back. I put a particular emphasis on using shockwave therapy.

As a private medical practitioner, I do not have a contract with the statutory health insurance companies, so the patient pays the fee for treatment. The issued invoice can subsequently be submitted to the statutory or private health insurance for reimbursement.

Payment is made either in cash or by bank transfer.

Shockwave therapy at the Rudolfinerhaus Private Clinic

Shockwave therapy can be used to treat various diseases and complaints of the musculoskeletal system.

In my surgery in the Rudolfinerhaus Private Clinic, 1190 Vienna, I offer my patients both classic treatments and shockwave therapy. Shockwave therapy is carried out using an innovative shock wave therapy device with a constant energy flow density, which allows for lasting pain relief.

Transcranial pulse stimulation (TPS ®) for dementia

During transcranial pulse stimulation, sound waves penetrate the brain, where they stimulate nerve cells in a targeted manner. A recent study by the Medical University of Vienna showed that TPS ® increased memory performance in patients with Alzheimer’s dementia. Participants showed improvements in memory and language, they also reported improvements in their daily lives.
